Shiye Zhi Peng est une institution culturelle interdisciplinaire tissant des liens entre la psychologie, l'image et la pratique sociale.

By placing psychological and visual culture at the heart of our work, alongside social practice, we explore the deep connections between individual experience, emotional expression and social reality.

(#02) Brand Philosophy

The Meaning of
Shiye Zhi Peng

The name draws inspiration from the Classic of Poetry (Shi Jing). The original expression evokes the lushness of wild grasses, where life sprouts and pulses in the breath of the wind. By replacing the character “Shi” (食 — to eat) with “Shi” (识 — to know), we evoke the reclaiming, sensing and understanding of every spark of life.

Across these native lands, both intimate and distant, from wild mountains to vast cities, everything renews itself slowly in step with the world; thought takes root and the gaze opens anew.

We do not seek to impose a way of life. Rather, we aspire to become a bridge, a path — like a stream brushing the earth or a train crossing the horizon, moving through the abundance and complexity of the world.
